I am a stay at home mother to three children, and I love to read with them and make crafts! I decided to take my passion for reading and writing to the public! I hope that my blog is inspiring to every busy Muslim mom to sit with her kids and spend quality time teaching them Islam, in a fun way, of course. I also hope to publish a children’s book someday!

Nafisa Rahimi
Salaams! I’m Nafisa, mother of four children, teacher by qualification and an aspiring entrepreneur by heart. Being a co-founder of an educational programme called Super Smart Learners as well as an online community called Muslim Mamas, which I admin with five other special mamas, life is busier than ever. Not Another Mum Pod was our release in Covid-19 Lockdown Ramadan 2020 - a place to chat about all things relevant and all things not; a time to relax and engage in adult conversation away from the mayhem - no joy, I definitely meant to say joy - that children (and husband) bring! It is an honour to do this with someone as fun and as honest as Tas, as you will hear! I am a self-confessed workaholic and dream of an organised, minimalist home. Oh and a full time cook, perhaps a live-in housekeeper, where my time becomes my own. In between all the chaos, I enjoy writing, eating out with friends, travelling and hanging out with the sitcom 'Friends'.
Tasneem Abdur-Rashid
Salaams everyone! My name’s Tasneem and I’m a Muslim mum, wife and writer born and raised in London. Back in the days, before motherhood consumed me, I lived in Dubai and worked across various lifestyle magazines, before dabbling in PR and Corporate Communications. I also wrote and published a best-selling novel during my time in the desert, and I’m currently working on my second book. Watch this space! When I’m not writing, or working (I work in the Media/PR team of a National Charity), or looking after my home and kids, you can usually find me out at restaurants, chilling with friends, catching up with my mum or vegging out in front of the telly with the husband. I also love to read, cook, watch cooking shows, create new recipes, feed people… erm, do you see a pattern here? I’m really excited about launching Not Another Mum Pod with Nafisa and having the opportunity to share my thoughts on issues relevant to us as Muslim women, and I hope you enjoy it too!
Welcome to the madness that is our lives.
Nourishing Our Home is a place where we talk about becoming the best version of ourselves, extending that to those whom we love and cultivating it within our homes. I write about marriage, motherhood and a bit of other things sprinkled in between - from a Muslimahs perspective.
My blog focuses on issues pertaining to motherhood, especially from the perspective of Muslims. We also write about other things including children, recipes, breastfeeding etc

Made by muslims for the muslim consumer, we felt that existing marketplaces like Etsy or Amazon made it so difficult to find products that targeted the Islamic consumer. So we created one that did! Now you can browse our marketplace with confidence, knowing that every seller has been hand selected with categories and filters suited directly for the muslim consumer. Even better, a % of all our sales via our platform is donated to charity via our program Riwaya Community!
A phrase which I heard when I was a third grader and it remained stuck in my mind ever since. A comparison between two contrasting entities. As I grew older, I understood it in its complete form.
You might topple mighty empires with your sword, but you need a pen to rule them. No doubt the first verse of the Quran is ‘Iqra‘ and what an irony, the literacy rate among the Muslims of the sub-continent is pitiful and more so that of women.
I believe and I hope that I can use my pen as a way to remove various social issues that we as Muslim women deal in our day to day life. This blog, is meant to educate, the women of my community, inform them of their true status Islam provides them and inspire them to be the best, whatever they are good at.
I being a first time mom was naive to parenting and googled every little thing during my pregnancy and after the birth of my baby. I basically research everything about pregnancy and babies!😅 I wanted to share this knowledge of mine with everyone and thus started a blog of my own.
Jazakallahu khair!😊
