Fashion and Beauty
This blog aims to be a contribution, an outward reflection of the world, religion, culture, academe, and much more. The posts are meant to be educative, engaging, reflective, but enjoyable at the same time. I want to be a part of a Muslima blogging community where we build each other up through our posts.
There are several categories in this blog: 1000 Aisha, Reflection, and Noteworthy. 1000 Aisha is about Muslimas contributing actively to society. Reflection simply contains contemplations on whatever topics that come to mind. Noteworthy includes recommendations on items, be they books, places, dining, products, etc.
My name is Ayesha Khan and I am a student working on my Software Engineering degree. I’m a huge fan of structure and simplicity in both design and code. I write about my career in tech, makeup, and healthy lifestyle.
Before I reverted to Islam I researched many topics about halal and haram. My thoughts always went to food but then I realized it meant more than that. I started looking into cosmetics ingredients I realized that there was a lack of information for Muslims.
So in 2017, I moved to Germany with the intention of starting a halal soap company. Due to numerous reasons that dream was put on the back burner until later on. So instead of selling halal soaps, I started this blog to focus on everyday products and the ingredients that we should avoid as Muslims.
I write articles about brands and products you should avoid or buy. I’m currently working on adding posts so that anyone can make there own products at home.
Whether it is in practicing the deen effectively, taking care of our physical appearances in a way that we won’t look so worn out when the old age sets in, in making our marriages a model for the world, in raising the best children for the next generation, in our relationships with friends, families and strangers, in pursuing careers or becoming great entrepreneurs and many more areas that cannot be exhausted, the key is to lead a green life. Green Muslim is here to rekindle that knowledge and begin the journey with you from the scratch. This journey is to a beautiful destination; one that will make you enjoy your hectic modern lives as Muslims, make you fall head over heels in love with your creator, make you men and women that never grow old and help you achieve your goals in the easiest way ever. One that in decades to come, when you look back in time and see your footprints at all the points you ever walked in this life, there won’t be an iota of doubt that you have truly lived the life you have always wanted.

Nabila Raine is a lifestyle blog that covers self-care in different ways such as beauty, fashion, do it yourself projects, and advice/conversational pieces. Beauty is an important way to take care of your self. Because when you look good you feel good and when you feel good you do good.
This is important because whenever your self-esteem is boosted and you become comfortable with yourself your confidence is ultimately boosted. When you have confidence in yourself you reach for the stars and great things happen.
It’s important for us to understand beauty in our own terms and not by what society wants us to think beautiful is.
Nabila Raine means Queen of noble character. Nabila is Egyptian for of noble charter and Raine is French for a queen. I decided to choose this name because I was interested in African Queens and Royalty during this past summer. I feel like this was a great combination with a great meaning behind it and a little flow.
As women, we should always strive to be of noble character and just be better people in general for ourselves and those around us.

Although there are a plethora of clothing stores aimed at Muslim women, Striving For Modesty seeks to be the modest clothing store of YOUR choice. Our aim is to provide an array of exclusive and luxurious items that are modest and made from great quality fabrics. We uphold the belief that all Muslim women should observe hijab around non-mahrams by wearing a khimar(headscarf) and jilbab/abaya at all times. This is the inspiration behind our expansive collection of jilbabs and abayas. We also understand the importance of being comfortable in your jilbab, making our comfortable tunics, skirts and dresses ideal.
While we are obligated to cover around non-mahrams, we are permitted to uncover around women, there is still a level of modesty required. For this reason, we carry a small selection aimed for those women-only events.
Yes, Striving For Modesty is created for Muslim women but we seek to clothe all women who desire a modest wardrobe regardless of their faith
